Meet Samantha Kohler, Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant
Why Sleep Consulting?
My journey to helping families get better sleep began with the birth of my twins. I had very little information on appropriate and healthy sleep habits for infants, and I certainly had a limited ability to process the information in my sleep deprived state. I was surviving and doing whatever I could to get by. I was at the end of my rope, waking up every hour and holding them for all of their naps, when I decided to hire a sleep consultant. She completely changed my life. My daughters were finally on a schedule. They took three developmentally appropriate naps a day at regular times and slept 12 hours at night. I could finally get out of the haze of exhaustion and enjoy my girls, and their learning and development took off. I have a passion for helping families achieve that same feeling.
Professional Background
I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a focus in Education of the Deaf from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master's degree in Education of the Deaf from Texas Woman's University. I received my Infant and Child Sleep Consultant Certification through the Family Sleep Institute and studied under Deb Pedrick, a pioneer in the field of sleep consulting.
Family
My husband, Adam, and I live in Austin, Texas with our three beautiful daughters, Charlotte, Parks, and Hadley.
